DamNation Screening (past event)

Edward Abbey Wasn’t the Only One Dreaming of Tearing Down a Few Dams

DamNation film screening presented by Lake Champlain International

Are you fired up about tearing down the Swanton Dam and restoring the Missisquoi RIver? We are. Lake Champlain International is excited by all the buzz around bringing down old dams, which is why we are eager to premiere DamNation. This award-winning, thought provoking documentary explores the impacts dams have on the life and health of our rivers. Join us on Thursday, June 5th as we watch this riveting film unfold at Essex Cinemas at 21 Essex Way, Essex Junction, VT.

Doors open at 6:30pm and the film is scheduled to being at 7:00pm. We will have an informative tabling session about local dam removal efforts by local concerned organizations beginning at 6:30pm.

We will also be giving away some sweet DamNation merchandise courtesy of Patagonia Burlington.

LCI is among a select few of the first to premiere this film nationwide. It promises to be an exciting, controversial, and engaging documentary—not an event to be missed!
